Metode: Bahasa Assembly; Konsep dasarnya adalah subprogram dan struktur data.

Bahasa : Penggunaan Eksperimental dari compiler ekspresi.

1956-1960

Hardware:
Media penyimpanan Magnetic Tape, core memory, penggunaan Transistor.

Metode: Teknologi awal compiler, grammar BNF, optimalisasi kode, interpreter, metode penyimpanan dinamis dan pemrosesan list.

Bahasa: FORTRAN,ALGOL 58, ALGOL 60, COBOL, LISP.

1961-1965

Hardware: Arsitektur yang saling kompatibel, media penyimpanan Magnetic Tape.

Metode: Sistem Operasi Multiprogramming, compiler dengan sytax-directed.

Bahasa: COBOL-61, ALGOL 60(revised), SNOBOL, JOVIAL, notasi APL.

1966-1970

Hardware: Bertambahnya ukuran dan kecepatan, penurunan harga, minicomputer, programming mikro, penggunaan IC.

Metode: Time-sharing dan system interaktif, compiler yang dioptimalisasi, system penulisan dengan transistor.

Bahasa: APL, FORTRAN 66, COBOL 65, ALGOL 68, SNOBOL 4, BASIC, PL/I, SIMULA 67, ALGOL-W.

1971-1975

Hardware: Komputer mikro, era minicomputer, small mass storage systems, peningkatan penggunaan memori dengan semikonduktor.

Metode: Program verification, pemrograman terstruktur, perkembangan awal software engineering sebagai suatu disiplin ilmu.

Bahasa: Pascal, COBOL 74, PL/I(standard), C, Scheme, Prolog.

1976-1980

Hardware: Commercial-quality computer mikro, large mass storage systems, distributed computing.

Metode: Abstraksi data, formal semantics, concurrent, embedded, teknik pemrograman real-time.

Bahasa: Smaltalk, Ada, FORTRAN 77, ML.

1981-1985

Hardware: Komputer pribadi, workstation pertama, video games, local area network, ARPA net.

Metode: Pemrograman berorientasi obyek, lingkungan yang interaktif, editor yang syntax-directed.

Bahasa: Turbo Pascal, Smaltalk-80, perkembangan Prolog, Ada 83, Postscript.

1986-1990

Hardware: Era computer mikro, perkembangan teknologi workstation, arsitektur RISC, jaringan computer global, internet.

Metode: Client/Server computing.

Bahasa: FORTRAN 90, C++, SML(Standard ML).

1991-1995

Hardware: Workstation yang sangat cepat dan murah, computer mikro, arsitektur parallel yang besar, suara, video,
fax, multimedia.

Metode: Open systems, lingkungan berkerangka kerja, “Information Superhighway“.

Bahasa: Ada 95, Process Languages (TCL,PERL), JAVA.

  2. I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
